My baby was unable to breastfeed which was what I had hoped to do. However, I have been aware of Holle for a number of years and it was the only choice for me for a formula. I am very pleased with the Holle formula and would recommend it

We have been using the Holle milk to combination feed since our baby was 10 weeks old and it is a fantastic alternative to use instead of, or in conjunction with, breastmilk. It is easy to prepare and was readily accepted by our baby.

We had tried several recommended brands of formula milk before discovering Holle and our baby had reacted to all of them. She was happy to drink them, but very soon after a feed (sometimes straight after) she would get diarrhoea, almost like her body was rejecting the milk. This didn't happen when she drank breastmilk, so I knew she wasn't lactose intolerant as breastmilk contains lactose too. After a process of elimination I felt that the only ingredient contained in all the brands of milk which could have been upsetting her was fish. I am a vegetarian, so my baby had not had experience of fish through my breast milk or through the placenta. Finding an infant formula that didn't contain fish was a challenge, as even the well known organic brand does. I even spoke to their helpline operators, who, although willing, were unable to help. When I discovered that Holle formula didn't contain fish and instead used a plant-derived source of omega 3 and 6, I was eager to try it and happily, our baby's problem cleared up instantly. She has never reacted badly to the Holle formula and enjoys her bottle feeds. We now also use the milk to make her porridges and baby rice

I love this product

After not being able to produce enough breastmilk for my son, i switched to formula. However all the american brands are full of unidentifiable ingredients which only made my son sick and constipated. When we first tried this the baby was pooping within a day, we ran short one week and i had no choice but to revert to the old stuff and my son hated it he would refuse his bottle. Preparation instructions:

Boil bottle, nipple and ring for 3 to 5 minutes before use
Boil water freshly before each meal and allow to cool down to about 50°C ( 122° F )
Fill the bottle with about half of the desired amount of water ( see feeding chart below )
Fill the measuring spoon loose and level it with the back of a knife
Fill the required amount of powder into the bottle
Close the bottle and shake thoroughly. Add remaining water and shake well again
Allow to cool down to approximately 37 °C ( 98.6° F ) before feeding
